Guided tours at our distillery -
Our guided tours of the distillery always start and end in our visitor centre, which includes our well-equipped bar offering 50+ single malt whiskies along with other quality spirits and beers. So, it is well worth a stop – either after the completion of a tour or on its own. -
The warehouses are built as traditional Faroese “opnahjallur” food drying houses that have been used for centuries on the islands to cure food using the strong, salty North Atlantic wind, creating a whisky with maximum influence from the Ocean. 60-80% of the flavour in whisky comes from the maturation, yet very little difference is between how whiskies casks. The special and different maturation is has created a lot of international attention for the project. -

Located on the remote, windswept Faroe Islands in the North Atlantic ocean, Faer Isles Distillery is one of the most northerly distilleries in the world.
We offer guided tours of the distillery, including tasting of our products.
Our guided tours of the distillery always start and end in our visitor centre, which includes our well-equipped bar offering 50+ single malt whiskies along with other quality spirits and beers. So, it is well worth a stop – either after the completion of a tour or on its own.
The bar does not have regular opening hours but is open in connection with tours and events that are announced on our social media pages.
A central part of the décor are the 16 handcrafted custom-made wooden tables by local craftsman, Joel Cole. Constructed as a puzzle, they can be used either as individual tables (high or low as they are adjustable) or combined into different configurations, including a large table.
We also have an outdoor area that is being used when the weather permits.
