Jóansøka – Saint John’s Festival

Saint John’s Festival (Jóansøka) is a regional festival in Suðuroy. The festival is held every even year in Vágur and every odd year in Tvøroyri. The main attractions are on Saturday, but there are activities all weekend from Friday to Sunday. The rowing competition takes place on Saturday, starting with the children’s rowing at around 1 pm.

There will be art exhibitions, activities for children and other cultural events.

This year the festival is in Tvøroyri from the 25th – 27th of June 2021.

NB! The schedule of MS Smyril is different at Jóansøka, check the Ferry Schedule if you plan to travel to or from Suduroy at Jóansøka.
