MULTICULTURAL WEEK: Dance Performance

What would it be like to step into the Northern Lights? To slowly let the Northern Lights come to life all around you?
Experience an enchanting dance and family performance about the Northern Lights as part of Fjølmentanarvikan (Multicultural Week). After the performance, dancer Anna Borràs will briefly talk about the work and her creative process. Participants will also have the opportunity to try their hand at contemporary dance.
Boreali Land is a dance performance and a meditative journey inspired by one of nature’s most extraordinary phenomena: the Northern Lights. Through contemporary dance, images, light, sound and sensory experiences, the audience is invited to explore the space as an Arctic landscape.
No words are used to tell the story. Instead, the experience unfolds through the body and the senses. Colours appear and disappear, sound and silence transform the space, and movements evoke images of hidden forces of nature.
The audience can sit or move around the space, look, listen, smell and let their imagination wander. Boreali Land is an invitation to experience nature through dance and an opportunity to share a moment of wonder, curiosity and quiet discovery.
Anna Borràs Company performs Boreali Land. Dancer Anna Borràs is Spanish, is based in Sweden and is trained in contemporary dance. The performance is part of the programme for Fjølmentanarvikan at the Nordic House.
