GØ was formed in 2015 by four talented young musicians from Tórshavn, who were tired of playing “the right way”. Today they are among the most requested musicians on the Faroe Islands and they still live by the same mentality when playing or writing music together; in GØ, everything goes. While the sound of the band resembles an echo from the sixties or seventies, the music is inspired by Jazz, Rock and film music, such as film noir or spaghetti western.

GØ’s music has been praised for its originality and the band’s music has continued to intrigue audiences with its exciting energy and sometimes humoristic character.

Alias Morera:
Filip Mortensen’s every project has sounded like something that should have become world famous. He's also been a rock star since his first steps onto the Faroese music scene with the band The Story Ends.

His first steps abroad were in the final of the Global Battle of the Bands with Lady Fire, as one of the duo The Ghost with an international record deal, and as part of Lover Lover, which was a hit here at home.

There's something truly special about Filip's voice, and his songwriting and production skills are also incredibly good.

Alias Morera is the latest project with Filip Mortensen. The first single "Laredo" has already been played extensively on Faroese radio.
