BÓKADAGAR 2026 - Family Event

Heimalambið Nella (the pet lamb Nella) moves in with Betta and Jóhann. Nella is given a small area below the house where she can stay and graze, but things do not quite go as planned. She does not want to be fenced in or left alone. She fights to get out, chases dogs, makes a mess in the basement and causes trouble in the sheep pen, the hay and everywhere else she goes. And she can be rather moody, too.
Bring the children along for a fun and engaging author talk. Heimalambið Nella is a funny story written by Betta á Dalinum and illustrated by Jana Jonhardsdóttir.
Betta will share some stories about the real-life pet lamb, Nella. The children will also have the opportunity to ask the author questions. The book is 76 pages long and is well suited for reading aloud to children aged approximately 6–9.
About Betta Betta á Dalinum was born in Klaksvík in 1958. She qualified as a teacher at Føroya Læraraskúli in 1992 and worked as a teacher in Klaksvík until she retired in 2025. Heimalambið Nella is her first book.
