One of the most experienced folk music groups in the Faroe Islands

On Friday evening, September 4th at 21:00, we welcome a visit from one of the most experienced folk music groups in the Faroe Islands, as Spælimenninir take the stage at Listastovan.

Spælimenninir have played around the country since 1974, bringing with them more than half a century of music and ensemble playing. Since 1977 they have also travelled widely abroad – especially in Europe and the USA – and are likely among the Faroese groups that toured the most abroad before the turn of the century.

The music is varied, light-hearted and entertaining folk music, delivered with deep experience and an ensemble sound developed over many years.
