The Smack Museum
Discover the story of the smacks from Vágur lost during the war
The Smack Museum is located in Gamli Skúli in Vágur, in the same building as the Ruth Smith Museum.
Poul Niclassen, commonly known as Malle-Poul, crafted models of the nine smacks from Vágur that were lost during the Second World War and donated them to the museum. The models preserve the story of these vessels and form an important part of the story of Vágur's maritime history during the war years.
The museum also has a collection of objects from the Second World War.
