Williamshús
The preserved home and workplace of William Heinesen
Williamshús was the home and primary workplace of writer, poet and artist William Heinesen. Completed in 1932, the house remains largely as it was when Heinesen passed away in 1991. Inside, visitors can experience its distinctive and colourful interior, with artworks and hand-painted decorations by William Heinesen and his son, artist Zacharias Heinesen. The house offers a rare glimpse into the surroundings in which Heinesen lived and created much of his work.
