Culture Days in Fuglafjørður open Thursday at 8pm in the church

Culture Days in Fuglafjørður take place from 3 - 6 Sept.

Thursday marks the beginning of the Culture Days in Fuglafjørður. This year the opening ceremony takes place in Fuglafjørður Church at 8pm with Bárður á Lakjuni, Minister of Culture, speaking, and Fuglafjørður Brass Band and Fuglafjørður Choir performing.

After the ceremony, participants will be given a candle to take to the cemetary by the church, where the candles will be lit in a quiet moment of rememberance.

At 9pm, a new art exhibition opens at Gallery Ribarhús with seven artists originating from Fuglafjørður exhibit their works. The exhibition organiser will open the exhibition and singer/songwriter Lyon Hansen will perform. Refreshments are served.
