BÒKADAGAR 2026: Author Talk with Lars Bukdahl

In Inger Smærup Sørensen’s new novel, fru s, we meet a woman who has carefully prepared for her old age. From her sixth-floor apartment, she observes the world outside as her thoughts turn to youth, motherhood, love and shame – and to the rising water levels.
Inger Smærup Sørensen visits the Faroe Islands to discuss the novel with the well-known Danish literary critic Lars Bukdahl. In his enthusiastic review of fru s, published in a September issue of Weekendavisen, he asks himself when he last encountered literature that emerged from such a compelling foundation as the one on which fru s is built.
Join us for an engaging conversation between the acclaimed author and the respected literary critic, who greatly admires her work.
