A cozy, well sheltered park near the library and the church

In the centre of Fuglafjørður, you will find this cozy, well sheltered park. It has a great view over the fjord and the surrounding mountains, and is surrounded by the church, an old cottage and the library building. It is also home to the pop-up outdoor café, Hjallurin, which is a popular café on a summer day.
A new feature of the park is the unique abstract ceramic memorial, Karyatida by Guðrið Poulsen, dedicated to women around the world who died in childbirth.

This park is often used as a venue for outdoor, family-friendly events for e.g. the Culture Days in Fuglafjørður, and for an outdoor service on Whit Monday.
