Camping in Suduroy

Enjoy the beauty of Suduroy by spending time outdoors in awesome natural surroundings. Camp in a tent or caravan. Because there are no public wildernesses or common areas, camping is only permitted at designated campsites. Moreover, it is not permitted to spend nights in camping cars along roads, at rest stops, laybys or view areas.

Be considerate of the environment, keep the campsites tidy, and clean up thoroughly upon departure. Because of the unpredictable nature of the Faroese weather, it is advisable to have sturdy, waterproof and windproof camping equipment.

There are several campsites around the island, and the largest one is Camping Vágseiðið in Vágur.
