Eggjarnar

Eggjarnar is a beautiful place south of the village Vágur in Suduroy. Turn right just after the Magn petrol station on the south side of Vagsfjordur; the street is called Eggjarvegur, it is narrow but okay. The good idea is to park the car and go the route by feet. It is a beautiful walk, about 5 kilometres both way. In the 1940’ies, there was a Loran Station on Eggjarnar. The buildings are now empty but are still there. From Eggjarnar there is a fantastic view of the west coast of Suduroy with amazing bird cliffs. Enjoy the view towards Beinisvørð and Lopranseiði to the south and towards Vagseiði to the north.
